Traveling to the USA requires the most important document and that is undoubtedly visa. Processing a USA visa is a tad difficult task but not impossible if done in a proper manner with the help of a travel agent.

Next in the queue is the DS160 form which is the most important document required for US visa as it the application form which contains all the details from your personal, family, employment, previous travel to your current plan including all. This form will be one of the deciding factors for your visa as the interviewer has already gone through your details with the help of DS160 so it becomes very much necessary to fill up all the details to the best of your knowledge.
Cover letter with all the relevant details which includes your name, passport number, employment, travel plans and accompanying person’s details. If you are been invited than inviter’s name, passport number, relation to us, their visa status in USA, their residence address, contact details will be some of the details which must form part of the cover letter. Photographs are not required as when you visit for biometrics they will click the photo which will be used for visa purposes.
Personal Bank Statement of last 6 months attested by bank, Current account last 6 months bank statement attested by bank in case of self – employed. Last 3 year’s Income tax returns and last 3 year’s income tax returns of the company in case of self – employed.
Appointment letter from the company you are employed, leave letter/ NOC from the company mentioning your name, passport number, joining date and designation. Make sure to mention the dates you will resume duties after completion of leaves.
In case of invite – Invitation letter, residence proof, employment proof, tax papers and a bank statement if sponsored.
Once the form is filled up you can submit DS160 and pay the fees online at the same time you can take an appointment for biometrics as well as an interview. On the day of appointment for biometrics, you need to carry the current original passport as well as old if any. Print out of DS160 and appointment letter at your nearby VFS center which is been selected while submitting the form. Make sure to be there at the VFS center prior to 15 minutes of your appointment time. During biometrics, you won’t be having any kind of interview that will take place on the day of the interview.
Next in line will be an interview that most important being of all as you will come to know the outcome of your application on the same day with respect to approval or rejection. Make sure to arrange all documents 02 -03 days in advance prior to your interview date to avoid any kind of last-minute rush. Be there at the center at least half an hour prior to the given time. During the interview be sure to be confident about whatever you answer. Your body language will play a very important role during the interview as at times they might not take a look at any of your documents. It will be hardly a matter of 05 minutes between your visa approval or rejection. In case your visa is approved they will keep your passport and inform you about approval and to collect the passport in the next 04- 05 days from the VFS center where you had visited for biometrics or you can even opt for a courier service. In case of visa rejection, you will be handed over the passport on the same day.
For renewal of U.S.A visa, there is a facility of dropbox wherein you don’t need to attend for biometrics or interview. You can simply fill up the DS160 form take the print out of the same and on the assigned appointment date you can visit your nearby VFS center and submit All Original Passport – old & new, 2 Photo with the specification of 2inch x 2inch, with white background and matt finish and DS160 form. You can opt for self-collection or courier service.
